About Us

My name is Chris Denman. I am the programmer behind TwitterHIT.

When I say "US" I suppose I mean me - and my support unit, my family! I have a wife called Sharon and a lovely daughter called Lily who's only six months old.

I have been a programmer since a kid at the age of 13. By the age of 15 I had written computer games and by the time I had left school I was involved in the release of a computer game sold all over the UK.

So I didn't go to college!

For many years I programmed computer games for the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST right up until the Internet started to do "something" in the mid 90's.

I started mucking around with Perl and Linux (all alien to me at the time!) and before long got myself a job with an Internet firm.

Within 6 months I had developed a content management system before the phrase even existed!

Many publishers around the UK bought the system and we all had a great time - right up until the "dot com crash"!

Yet again, back to square one - no job, no income - but a few years of great fun in the Internet industry before it popped.

Since then I have worked for my family business that has nothing to do with computing. My Mother, Father and Brother run an air-conditioning firm and have done so for 20+ years.

They offered me an office role a few years ago - and I have been there since.

However, I still program Perl and have not stopped programming little applications since I started working for the family - all in my spare time at home in the evenings.

I have access to the Internet during the day and can reply to emails, but cannot really get involved in programming for bug fixing!

So there's a bit of an insight!

What I will say is that as long as I have subscribers, I will keep making TwitterHIT better and better by adding new features regularly. Those of you who became members a few weeks ago will see how much I have done in such a short amount of time. And I don't plan on stopping for a while yet!

So if you're thinking of subscribing, you won't be disappointed. I will look after you and listen to your feedback - this in turn helps TwitterHIT be the best Twitter app out there!

All the best,

Chris Denman
